About the Public Health Advocate

In collaboration with UC Berkeley's School of Public Health and the Cal Undergraduate Public Health Coalition, the Public Health Advocate (PHA) is a bi-annual undergraduate publication established in 2003 that focuses on bringing about public health awareness within the local and national community. It is the only student-run, regularly published public health publication in the nation. 

In 2011, the Public Health Advocate ventured into the world of online media through the creation of this online publication. Here at the PHA Blog, we publish student and alumni pieces in the form of informative articles, personal pieces, and current news. We have a variety of Public Health topics and discussions, as well as a HealthBoard that posts upcoming health related events and opportunities.
